‘Valencia CF visits your school’ kicks off a new season in Torrent
The Club will visit twelve schools with special attention to the centres affected by the flash floods
The 'Sempre Falles' initiative continues into the new year, with Valencia CF presenting a commemorative 'Ninot' to Cádiz CF when they visit Mestalla on Monday night. The figurine will be given to a representative of the visiting club, as occurred in games against SD Huesca, Real Betis,Getafe CF, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Club and Sevilla FC already this season.
This time around, the figurine has been created by artist María Teresa Meliá from Valencia. The theme is ‘Sentir los colores’ ('Feel the colours') and is inspired by the idea that teams should be supported unconditionally, through thick and thin. Featured in the design is the Valencia CF mascot, painting the shirts of both his team and Cádiz CF before the game.
The 'Sempre Falles' initiative has been set up by Valencia CF and the Ayuntamiento city council, to help those in the Fallas artistry industry and beyond in a difficult time, due to the cancellation of the regional festival last year.
